Fun Facts about me....
Football
I played football (aka soccer), from 12 year's old to 40 year's old. I represented my home town of Nelson many times. I mostly played left back and I was a great sweeper!
Jobs
I have had many, many jobs in my lifetime, from cleaning to Tour Guide at Pic's Peanut Butter! I've picked pears, worked as a waitress, a teacher aide, market stall manager, a Countdown delivery driver, shop assistant in a fruit & vege shop, Math's presenter, Hearing programme presenter and much more! My faves were pear picking and the fruit & vege shop.
Music
My Dad played the piano by ear, my oldest sister learned piano through the grades and Mum sang and whistled around the house. I could play 'Three Blind Mice' on the piano when I was 3 years old and my sister taught me Classical piano for a year when I was 6 or 7. I wrote my first song as a teenager, then completed a year's music course in 2000. I started writing songs for children in 2001 and have been doing it ever since.
Vietnam
I once cycled around Vietnam with a tour group, raising funds for 'Variety - the Children's Charity'. I raised the most money and won a cool road bike - which I've still got!
